Article writing is one of the easiest ways people make money from the internet in Kenya. All it basically requires you to do it to write. You need to have a creative mind to be able to do this. At times, writing an article can itself be boring and at times it will be exciting. The thing about article writing in Kenya is that you can make a lot of money online with it. Yes, you can make money in Kenya just by writing articles on the internet.

What do you need to write articles?
- An online account for submitting articles
- A means of getting paid eg. Paypal, Bank wire and so on
- Creative mind. You need to be creative to be a writer
- Ability to write in good English

How to really make money writing articles in Kenya
There are two ways I know you can make money just by writing articles in Kenya:

- Writing for others
- Writing for yourself

Writing for others: This simply means writing for others who may want your service and then getting paid by them. All they want is for you to submit original articles related to their web content and they pay you for it. You can do this as a freelance article writer for specific contracts or as a community writer. Some Sites that accept freelancer article writers are like elance.com, Guru.com and freelancer.com. They offer payments mostly by Paypal, Cheque or Bank wire.
Those that accepts article submissions if you are member of their online community are for e.g. hubpages.com, helium.com, ehow.com and so on. Just search for an online community that is into article publishing and see if they allow you to sign up. These normally issue payments monthly by either Paypal or cheque.

Writing for yourself:
This simply means that you write and hold on to your own articles in order to get paid directly for it. This should be a more preferred option to make money as an article writer in Kenya as it gives you more independence. You don't get sacked, you don't have to submit articles, you just publish it to your site and get paid. So how do you make money writing for yourself? Well here are options:

- Sell online advertising space
- Accept donations
- Sell digital items online
- Promote affiliate programs

So here you have it, the various ways to make money as an article writer living in Kenya.

You can try writing for Hubpages. Write a lot of good articles and you would already start making money. You can make money with adsense, Hubpages ads, Amazon affiliate and get paid by Paypal or Cheque
