How to receive Google Adsense payments in Kenya

Google adsense is a great program through which website owners make money online. It offers a platform whereby publishers no longer have to sell adverts directly on their site but allow Google do the work and fee the right advertisers to their visitors.

When it comes to making money with Google adsense in Kenya, one earns income from clicks and impressions meaning that when visitors click or even view ads on a page, the website earns some credit from Google.

For publishers in Kenya, there are two way I know you can get paid for your earnings and this is either by foreign cheque or Western union.
Due to the slow pace of foreign cheques reaching Kenya, it is probably better to just stick with the Western union payment service, a new feature in which Kenya is now included.

Adsense publishers in Kenya have the option of choosing their preferred payment mode and can also hold their payments until it reaches an appreciable level for cashing out. Once the publisher has earned the minimum credit level of $100 at the end of a particular month, they would be entitled to receive a payment by the end of the following month either by cheque or western union.

To ensure you receive your payments in Kenya by western union, just ensure that you change your payment settings in your adsense account to reflect it.

If you decide to get paid in cheque, a cheque will be mailed to you at the end of the month and when you receive it, you'll pay it into your account and wait for 21 days for it to clear and of course, with some deductions for bank charges.

If you decide to get paid by Western union, you'll receive your exact payment except for a small charge by Google for sending the quick payment via western union. However you will receive payment much faster with Western union than with a cheque.

Once the payments has been sent to you, you should visit any western union agent with your national ID card and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

Google adsense is one of the smartest ways to make money online in Kenya but it requires a website that has good content and traffic in order to make any reasonable income from it.
