Blogging is one way that most people use to share their passions and interests on the internet. It is an easy concept to understand and master. However, if you are thinking about blogging or are just starting out, here are some quick facts you need to know about it:

1. Update: You should be able to update your blog regularly or once in a while. It is the regular posts that make a blog that bring back traffic to a blog. It's therefore very important that you find time for this.

2. Focus: Focus on the quality of the content you post on your blog. The only way that people will keep visiting your blog is if you post original quality content. Otherwise, the only person who will be viewing your own blog is actually you.

3. Freedom: You can write about anything on a blog. Blogging is the one thing that will allow you to write about anything. You are not actually limited to any topic. Anything that interests you can go to your blog including past experiences, your work, something you may love to do or somewhere you want to go… anything! It is like your own public journal.

4. Affordable: Blogging is relatively affordable and in some cases even free. It does not cost any cent for free blogs. Blogging is actually free and you don’t pay anything to create a blog. You only need to have an account on a blogging platform.

5. It can make money: You can make money from your blog by using a strategy known as monetization. You can use your web space to sell direct adverts, promote affiliate programs or even use pay per click ads.

6. Not too complex: You don’t have to be an expert at designing a blog to create your own blog. If you are not familiar with the design concept of blogs, there’s really to fret to fret over this. You can use the templates provided by the blog platform you choose to use.

7. Images are helpful: Images will not only by far improve the general look of your blog, it will also make your content more interesting to read.

8. Be social: Relating your blog to your website and other blogs is a really good and effective way of marketing your blog. No blog is an island and you should interact with other blogs in other to improve on your work.

9. Rules: Blogging has rules that you need to master so as to avoid trouble with other blogs and websites as well. You need to follow some rules and avoid copying content from other sites or posting content that may cause your web host to close your account. You should be disciplined as a blogger.

10. It is Fun: Blogging is all about fun! You can do it with joy without feeling the stress that it's a job.
