How to buy Laptops online and ship to Kenya

How would you like to have access to any specific laptop of your choice? There are lots of online stores where you can buy laptops from and all you really need is an internet connect and a means of payment.

In Kenya, there are a couple of sites where you can check out prices of certain laptops but how about being able to buy brand new laptops from global stores around the world? Well, that's why I'm writing this article, to share with you guys how and where to buy the best laptops from the best online stores and get it shipped to your home address in Kenya and at a reasonable price too.

Two sources for buying laptops online
- Local stores
- Global stores

Local stores are those online stores located in Kenya that sell laptops online, you pay in the local currency and get it shipped to your address or you pick up later. I'm not going to name names so you can just search for "laptop store Kenya"

Global stores: These are stores outside Kenya that sell to anyone and some of them do offer courier shipping to Kenya.

One top store I would recommend is Amazon.com
Amazon.com is the worlds' largest online store and they have a huge collection of laptops which you can choose from

What you will need to buy Laptops from the USA and ship to Kenya
- An internet connection

How it works
Well I have been able to buy laptops from Amazon.com and got it shipped to my home. All you need to do is first create the US address account, get your address and use it as your default shipping address for any US store like Amazon. Anytime you buy any goods, it gets shipped to that address and then you can re-ship it to Kenya anytime you want for a DHL fee.

Costs associated with this
- US re-shipping account. Costs $60 per year or $10 per use
- DHL final shipping to Kenya. Depends on weight so about $100 to $150 to Kenya
- Purchase cost. Depends on how much you actually bought the goods

So avoid importing used computers
