Most SEO experts know that one of the easiest ways to get search engine traffic is by using a keyword rich domain name. It works like this, if you want to rank high in searcn engines for a keyword like Kindle Fire HD, you can do so by first of all getting a domain name that contains those words "kindle Fire HD" and good examples could be:

usingkindlefire.com
lovemyfire.com
kindlefirekenya.com
my-kindle-fire.com

All these domain names have SEO input in them since they are built from the start to rank high in search engine results.

There are probably a lot of ways to increase search engine traffic to a website or your affiliate landing page but creating a niche site by selecting a niche domain name can help a lot.

At times a domain name does most of the work for you such that with even 10 pages of content, an affiliate could easily capture a lot of keywords from the search engines.

Search engines love keyword rich domain names but such websites would do better if they add more content to it rather than just a one page website.

If you are going to target a particular range of products to promote, try to get to know which keywords people search a lot for first and then register a domain name that best fits those key phrases and you will be able to capture a lot of traffic when your website comes online.

    Hi Felix,

    Thanks for the great post.

I was wondering, what about the EMD update that Google pushed out last year. It devalued a small percentage of "Exact Match Domains or EMDs".

Otherwise, I believe some EMDs still get some good traffic.

    Cheers!

Yeah, Google doesn't like domains that are just exact matches of keywords without having much content but the way to overcome that problem is by also adding lots of content to that niche website. If it has sufficient content, Google will still rank it high
